It's been a busy summer for the Alliance for Diversity. We've held our first virtual book discussion series, sponsored three trainings by other community organizations, and created new County Action Teams to bring to light concerns about race and take action to make change for our communities. In between the events, we've been making connections and sharing resources:
As we round out our summer, it's time to consider how you want to be involved with the Alliance for the second half of 2020 and into 2021. We've made some big steps in Hendricks County, but there is still very important and impactful work to be done. Membership Renewal We are asking everyone who joined the Alliance for Diversity before May 2020 to recommit to their membership by filling out the form with updated information. You can access the form here. Not sure when you joined? Everyone who joined before May 2020 will also receive a separate email asking them to renew. Leadership Interest Meeting Our Alliance needs the support of passionate individuals who can commit time and talent to leading. The current chair, Natalie Brake, is still interested in serving, but with additional co-chairs to help, especially as we continue to gain interest and expand our footprint across the county. If you would like to learn more about what leadership in the Alliance entails, please join us at our virtual interest meeting Monday, August 17 from 7-8 pm. Register here to participate. Fall Membership Meeting It's time again to gather together as an Alliance to share our successes and plan our next steps. As we weren't able to gather in the spring, we'll also be welcoming new leadership at this meeting. A link to join the virtual meeting will be sent prior to the event, so for now please save the date - Monday, August 24 from 7-9 pm. Natalie Brake, Chair
